Save yourself some shampoo . . .
It seems paradoxical but in an effort to keep your hair shiny and clean (shampooing everyday), you're actually giving your 'do more of a reason to look dirty.
Why, you ask? Over-washing your strands strips your hair of its natural oils and your scalp does damage control by producing even more oil, leaving your locks looking greasy.
The good news? You can actually train your hair to look less greasy by spacing out shampoos. There's also a natural, multi-purpose product you can use to help restore your hair's pH balance!
The formula for less greasy hair:
Day 1: Shampoo with a natural toxin-free shampoo (Our favorite brand is Rahua)
Day 2: Don't wash (Apply some dry shampoo if you're already oily. Our favorite natural dry shampoo is by One Love Organics)
Day 3: Don't wash (Dirty hair, don't care!)
Day 4: Rinse with Apple Cider Vinegar! (Wet your hair with warm water in the shower and massage ACV into your scalp, then rinse).
Day 5: Shampoo!
Then, do it all over again!
To train your hair, follow this 5 day routine for a few weeks. Once your hair begins to feel healthier, you can taper down to two or three no-wash days!
*Helpful hint: Don't touch your hair if you don't have to — this will help keep oil production down.
