Over-the-counter whitening strips may yield results but not without exposing your teeth and mouth to a heaping side of toxic chemicals.
We're sharing a much safer alternative that will naturally whiten your teeth in an instant: Activated charcoal. (NOTE: This is NOT the same charcoal you use to barbecue.)
How does it work to whiten your teeth? Activated charcoal binds to dirt, grime, and stains on your teeth and as you rinse it away, it takes the stains with it, leaving a healthy smile.
Wet your toothbrush, pour a little bit of activated charcoal onto your brush, and start scrubbing. You’ll want the charcoal paste to remain on your teeth for about 5 minutes (it's a bit alarming when you first start brushing as your entire mouth will turn black). Once you've reached the 5 minute mark, you can spit, rinse, and scrub with toothpaste to remove excess charcoal.
Try this for a week straight and then taper down to once a week to keep teeth white.
